Places to Eat and Drink
-
The Shore
One of the best pub/restaurants on the island, only a 15min walk around the coast. Go for a drink in the cosy side room bar before the meal (don’t forget the after drink as well)
-
The Sugarloaf Cafe
Known for their homemade cakes and friendly welcome it really is a place for the sweet tooth. I won’t mention the size of the scones as I have said too much already!
-
Foraging Vintners
Hidden away at the far end of Port Erin beach this small bar will certainly hit you with a punch of delight. Watch the sun fall over Bradda whilst sipping on their homemade cocktails or selection of wine and beer.
-
Fresh, Fried and Crispy
Just over the road there is a traditional fish and chip shop offering the classic offerings you will be used to… but nicer. Take your chippy dinner to the benches above Port St Mary prom and take in the fresh sea air whilst pecking through the fresh fish and chips.
-
The Sound Cafe
Enjoy one of the most talked about views from a cafe on the island. With views stretching over the Calf of Man and beyond. Make sure you leave time to stretch your legs along the coast line whilst searching for the seals on Kitterland rock.
-
Andrea's Italian
Located just 3 doors down from the Rooms this really is a must visit restaurant for a chilled evening. Coming from Sicily themselves, the owners have brought over classic recipes and deliver them with skill and care.
-
The Abbey
The Abbey restaurant is the premier restaurant in the South of the Island. It has numerous Michelin awards that reflect the quality and range of the food on offer. If you want to treat your partner this is definitely an option to consider.
