The charming village of Port St. Mary is well worth spending time exploring as there are many hidden gems to see.
Chapel Bay & Gansey Point
Take a stroll along the lower promenade and follow the coast round to Gansey Point where you can get a closer view of the Carrick Rock that we have named our Guest House after. You can continue to walk along the coast to Gansey beach for something to eat or drink at The Shore pub.
"The Catwalk” & Harbours
From the property head down to Chapel Bay and turn right towards the inner harbour and you will find a walkway that brings you up close to the clear waters of the Irish Sea as it laps on to the rocks. Continue round the inner harbour and then pass the Harbour Master’s office on to Lime Street until you reach the boat park at the head of the outer harbour. From here, it’s well worth heading out to the lighthouse where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the hills of the South of the Island. If you want to extend your walk further around the coast, to Kallow Point, there is an interesting memorial of the evacuation of Dunkirk.
